My family and I have been parishioners at St. Gabriel Church for twenty-two years. When we were deciding where to send my three-year-old son Rob to preschool, we knew automatically we wanted him enrolled at The St. Gabriel Learning Loft. All four of my children attended the Learning Loft and we all have made lifelong friends and had great experiences throughout the years.
I have been walking throughout the hallways of St. Gabriel School for many, many years (nineteen years to be exact) and I have always thought “man they need to change these paint colors, flooring, and window treatments! Who picked these colors out and why?” I am sure only an interior designer would notice and think these kinds of things. LOL. I was so honored when Alicia called me to ask if I would be interested in helping them design the junior high classrooms, doing tasks such as flooring, window treatments, and selecting paint colors for walls/doors/trim. Of course, I said YES, YES, and YES! I thought, yeah I get to finally change the apricot trim and doors, the cotton candy pink and aqua flooring, and lastly, the pink shades on the windows!
I thoroughly enjoyed working with the committee on the project. Everyone involved with the project was so cooperative, friendly, and open to suggestions. I am so thrilled with the positive feedback Leah and I have received from people who have seen the final finished project. Leah has received hugs from some of the teachers who wanted her to tell me "what a great job your mom did!" It made my heart so happy to hear this and it put a huge smile on my face. Lastly, my son, Trent wanted to give a shout-out to Mrs. Hoffman: THANKS, A MILLION!
